- ➤ The Grand Rapids City Commission approved tax incentives for an $11.4M project converting three floors of the historic Ledyard Building into 36 affordable apartments with 30% of work for women and minority-owned businesses. Construction is planned to begin in spring using a $4.6M Brownfield reimbursement and a 15-year tax break. MLive

- ➤ The Griffins sought to set a new franchise win streak record in their New Year's Eve game against the Milwaukee Admirals at Van Andel Arena on Dec. 31, with fans enjoying a fireworks show (a highlight of the night) and a postgame open skate.
