- ➤ Macy’s at RiverTown Crossings in Grandville is closing with no final day set, and a clearance sale is scheduled to start mid-January (lasting up to 10 weeks) as the company shifts focus to other locations. MLive
- ➤ Macy's will close its Rivertown Crossings location in Grandville soon as part of its Bold New Chapter downsizing plan — only two stores remain open in West Michigan. FOX 17
- ➤ Shake Shack will open its first West Michigan restaurant in 2027 near Woodland Mall in Kentwood. The new 3,529 sqft location (with drive-thru service and 14 parking spaces, including 4 for quick pickup) will offer dine-in service while a neighboring fast-casual restaurant is also planned. MLive

- ➤ The board unanimously approved Kathryn Rogalski’s contract as Grand Rapids Community College’s 12th president, and she will take office on March 2 — her appointment, with over 25 years in higher education leadership, will be formally introduced next week. MLive
- ➤ A new Hall of Honor will be unveiled Monday evening at Comstock Park High School to showcase over 1,000 names honoring athletic, academic, military, and distinguished alumni achievements in its centennial year. - ➤ Heavy rain and snowmelt flooded Reeds Lake Blvd near Manhattan Road Friday morning, forcing local authorities to close the busy roadway. Kent County Road Commission said it will monitor conditions over the weekend and adjust the closure as needed while residents take alternate routes. FOX 17
