  • Cascade Township is hosting an Easter Egg Stuffing Party at the Cascade Library on Tuesday, March 10 from 9 a.m. to noon where neighbors will help stuff eggs for the upcoming Easter Egg Hunt while enjoying drinks - light refreshments provided.  FOX 17
  • The West Michigan Women's Expo is taking place at DeVos Place downtown from Friday, March 6 to Sunday, March 8. A new feature called BLINGO After Dark will offer bingo-style games and music while a portion of ticket sales supports Food Hugs.  FOX 17

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Pace Industries will close two factories at 2121 Latimer Drive + 2350 Black Creek Road in Muskegon and lay off 145 workers on April 25 for restructuring. The company will keep its Muskegon operations at 2281 Port City Blvd.  MLive

CULTURE NEWS

  • Lowell High School students performed Chicago: Teen Edition after months of rehearsals — the production started Friday, March 6 and will run five shows over the next two weeks at the school.  FOX 17

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • At the Grand Rapids Policy Conference on Friday, Microsoft discussed plans for new data centers in Lowell and Gaines Township and held town halls for project details. Jonathan Noble, Microsoft’s Senior Director, stressed the company’s community-first goals (including keeping local utility costs steady) while some local groups stay cautious.  FOX 17

HEALTH NEWS

  • Pat Dorgan retired Friday after 50 years at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, where he helped patients walk using orthotics and prosthetics (he plans to mentor new staff in retirement). Colleagues praised his decades of dedication to improving care.  FOX 17
  • Corewell Health doctor Dr. Thomas Boyden warns that losing one hour of sleep when clocks spring forward Sunday may raise heart attack risk by up to 24% on Monday and Tuesday; those with diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea or high cholesterol are advised to get extra rest.  ABC 13
