BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Jyoti's Kitchen opened last Thursday (at 2230 Wealthy St.) in Gaslight Village and will have its grand opening today at 4 p.m. with a ribbon cutting led by Mayor David LaGrand, offering North Indian dishes and $8 discounted lunch rolls for kids. MLive
- ➤ Consumers Energy said that new data centers must pay for all energy infrastructure costs and will not raise residential rates—protecting customers from extra bills. The Michigan Public Service Commission finalized the plan last November as the company works to attract tech companies and spur local job growth. ABC 13
- ➤ Michigan’s Adventure in Muskegon will be operated by Enchanted Parks after Six Flags sells the park later this spring, and no changes are planned for the 2026 season, which runs from May 22–Sept. 1. Hiring for the season will continue as scheduled. MLive

- ➤ Two Wyoming daycare mothers face challenges after Connections Child Development Center (linked with Abundant Life Church) announced it will pause reopening plans originally set for March 23; one has reduced work shifts while the other now seeks affordable childcare alternatives. FOX 17

- ➤ Two West Michigan mothers reported long-term fatigue, hair loss and joint pain that they linked to Breast Implant Illness before choosing implant removal—symptoms improved immediately after surgery and they urged better informed consent. A local doctor now only performs explants after similar complaints. ABC 13

- ➤ Lakeshore Advantage has named Chris Marco as its first community development director to address a workforce housing shortage in Ottawa and Allegan counties — he brings local and state experience to support targeted funding and project planning. MLive
