- ➤ A 26-year-old Allendale motorcyclist died when his bike collided with a minivan on Kalamazoo Avenue in Gaines Township near Caledonia around 5:22 p.m. Sunday+a 41-year-old Caledonia woman suffered minor injuries, and deputies are investigating the cause. WOOD TV

- ➤ Leland A. MacQuarrie Jr.—already in state prison for a January 2022 overdose death in northern Michigan—was given a 20-year federal sentence—with an additional 5 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to a drug trafficking charge linked to a February 2022 fatal overdose. WOOD TV
- ➤ A public guardian accused of stealing 100k from vulnerable adults pleaded no contest on April 11—she will not fight the case. WOOD TV
- ➤ Grand Rapids police investigated two separate shootings on Sunday—one incident on Bates Street SE around 4:30 p.m. injured a 15-year-old boy with a leg gunshot wound not believed to be life-threatening while a second incident on Batchawana Street SE around 6:45 p.m. resulted in an adult being transported to a hospital in critical condition.
