- ➤ A Rockford woman was hospitalized at Big Rapids Corewell Health Hospital after a rear-end collision at a Mecosta County gas station yesterday—deputies said the crash occurred at about 9:34 a.m. on 8 Mile Road near Old State Road in Mecosta Township and left two others with minor injuries—. - ➤ Plainfield and Grand Rapids firefighters rescued a young adult stranded 70 feet high in a tree on Sunday after branches broke during his descent — they used the What3Words app to locate him in a wooded area 1,800 feet from the main roadway and reported no injuries. ABC 13
