- ➤ City Manager Mark Washington presented a $735 million budget on April 29 for fiscal year 2026 that adds 22 new staff to keep services running amid federal funding uncertainty — a public hearing is set for May 13 for residents to comment on the plan. MLive
- ➤ The Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department is starting a pool pass program that gives free pool access for kids 17 and under if they sign up before pools open on June 6.
