- ➤ Fulton Street Market, celebrating 104 years, supports food access with programs (SNAP, Double Up Food Bucks, and a dry goods pantry) amid rising costs. The market is open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will run Food Recovery Program from June through October. ABC 13
- ➤ Critter Barn in Zeeland hosted its first running of the lambs this past Saturday, letting families watch the young lambs dash to the pasture for the first time. The farm will offer more interactive activities later this week, including baby ducks, chicks + a playground. ABC 13

- ➤ Four development projects in Ottawa County are underway. Framery will open its first North American factory in Zeeland later in 2026, and Grand Haven approved a $1.99M plan to convert a building into a seafood restaurant; Nelis’ Dutch Village plans a 30-foot Tulip Tower, and Holland reviews a 25-unit townhome. - ➤ Forest Hills Northern students celebrated an Old Hollywood prom at Noto’s Old World Italian Dining on Saturday, May 2, where over 500 students received a red carpet welcome, enjoyed a buffet dinner (and later danced at the festive event). MLive
- ➤ Frederik Meijer Gardens hosts CHIHULY: Radiant Forms, a new glass art show featuring Dale Chihuly's work that opened Saturday, May 2 and runs through Nov. 1. The exhibition includes timed-entry indoor galleries and outdoor installations (its largest display since 2010) on the 158-acre campus. MLive

- ➤ Hudsonville High School hosted its 2026 prom yesterday at GLC Live + 20 Monroe in Grand Rapids, with nearly 860 students enjoying live music, colorful lights, snacks, henna tattoos, a 360 photo booth, and soft beverages. The event brought a festive vibe for the students. MLive
- ➤ Holland Public Schools will ask voters on Tuesday, May 5 to renew a 10-year sinking fund for building repairs, facility improvements, and bus maintenance — keeping the current 1.25 mill rate. The district expects to gather about $2.5 million starting in 2027 if the proposal is approved. MLive
- ➤ Nearly 200 students from Union High and CA Frost gathered at City Flats Hotel on May 2 for a Great Gatsby-themed prom, where they crowned kings, queens, princes, and princesses during the dance. MLive
