- ➤ Grand Rapids’ Acrisure Amphitheater will open in May with an inaugural summer season featuring headliners such as Lionel Richie on May 15 and Kid Cudi on May 27. The new venue (12,000-seat) will host a diverse lineup of concerts throughout the summer. MLive
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Major road repairs in Michigan, including work on I-696 in Oakland County and on the MLK Jr. bridge in Grand Rapids, will affect traffic this summer and fall as crews fix nearly 2,000 lane miles. The projects come from a funding initiative that added +$1 billion to transportation budgets. MLive
- ➤ Thirteen road construction projects are set to affect transit this week, with closures beginning on Sunday, May 3 and extending into summer and later months. Notable closures include ramps on I-696 in Oakland County, bridge work on M-46 in Muskegon County & daily lane closures on I-196 in Kent. MLive
