  • Ryder Hall is a 3-year-old with cerebral palsy who cannot walk, and his family will hold a benefit on Saturday, May 17 at Amvets Post 23 in Kentwood to raise funds for life-changing therapy at the NAPA Center and a custom wheelchair. The fundraiser will help cover expensive therapy and equipment costs—his family is asking local neighbors to support his chance to move and play with other kids.  ABC 13

  • At Pine Ridge Elementary in Cascade Township, Hendrik, a third grader battling leukemia, returned to class after nearly three months away—he was supported by his classmates, neighbors, and teacher.   • Representatives from Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation and Corewell Health placed the final steel beam on the frame of the future Joan Secchia Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital on May 8, marking a major construction milestone. The 67,000-square-foot facility will offer specialized therapy spaces and is set to open in fall — making it Michigan’s first children’s rehabilitation hospital.  MLive
