- ➤ Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. and Start Garden have launched a two-year Grand River Economic Opportunity Initiative to help local entrepreneurs develop riverfront business ideas through workshops, pitch competitions + boot camps along the river. The program is funded with $45,000 in philanthropic funds and $100,000 from the Downtown Development Authority. MLive
