- ➤ Grand Rapids City Attorney Anita Hitchcock announced that she will retire on Sept 2 after 23 years with the city - she was credited with pushing police reforms and led a legal team of 17 with a $3 million budget. MLive
- ➤ Today, firefighters in Grand Rapids warn residents to store fireworks outdoors away from ignition sources and to follow label instructions to reduce fire risks. They note that the city will host a display at Ah-Nab-Awen Park on July 5 — fireworks will begin at 10:30 p.m. WOOD TV
