- ➤ Michigan State Police conducted a sting earlier this week when they executed a search warrant on Tuesday at six stores in Oakland County and seized counterfeit high-end merchandise including Rolex, Nike and Gucci items that may contain harmful chemicals as investigators prepare to share their findings with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office. - ➤ On Tuesday, the City Commission approved a $7 million grant to study a redesign of Wealthy Street in Grand Rapids (part of a broader plan to rebuild a key freeway stretch) and officials plan to lower the street below the freeway to improve safety. MDOT said work will await additional funding and proper environmental reviews (the full project is estimated to cost more than $700 million) before construction begins. ABC 13
