- ➤ Three years ago, Terrell Tejeda-Woodard was shot and killed in Grand Rapids, and his family is still searching for answers & seeking closure on his case. WOOD TV
- ➤ A man was hospitalized after being shot early this morning on M.L.K. Jr. Street SE—west of Fuller Avenue SE—with non-life-threatening injuries, and police are searching for the shooter. WOOD TV
- ➤ On Aug. 1 shortly after 9 p.m., a 23 year old man was stabbed at a Walmart in Alpine Township — bystanders apprehended the 29 year old suspect after he was struck by a vehicle, and the victim was taken to hospital in stable condition. MLive

- ➤ Grand Rapids held its 47th annual Hispanic Festival at Calder Plaza starting Aug. 1, and the event offers music, food and cultural performances drawing tens of thousands from West Michigan.
