- ➤ Grand Rapids Public Schools teachers will start school next week without a new contract as talks with the union continue after the contract expired on June 30. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On July 16, biologists from GVSU and Calvin University surveyed Plaster Creek at Covenant Park in Kentwood and found 505 freshwater mussels (including two state-listed species and one species of special concern) that help filter pollutants.
