- ➤ Volunteers spent the day at Devos Place packing backpacks with school supplies for Kent County students during the annual Big Backpack Build event. The effort will distribute more than 12,500 backpacks plus over 4,100 pairs of shoes to help students start school on the right foot. ABC 13

- ➤ Grand Rapids held a public comment meeting Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at City Hall's 9th floor where residents gave feedback on a plan to use drones to capture high-resolution images of parking areas from 300 to 400 feet above for a study costing about $180,000—officials said no identifiable details would be collected. - ➤ Georgetown Township leaders are reviewing options to replace Ottawa County sheriff’s paramedic E-units in the Jenison area—these units were phased out due to staffing challenges. They will decide among proposals from Life EMS and the township fire department by September and aim to have a new service in place by late spring 2026. MLive

- ➤ Visitors at University of Michigan Health-West’s community clinic in Wyoming now have free access to naloxone – an opioid overdose reversal drug – from a new vending machine installed in the waiting area.
