Kentwood police said a man aged 58 was walking on Eastern Avenue SE near Hardwick Drive when he was struck and killed by a northbound vehicle— the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

A 36-year-old woman died Sunday night on Alpine Avenue near 8 Mile Road after her car overturned when it crossed the median and hit a northbound vehicle—police said the other driver was uninjured and the investigation is ongoing.

The Toasted Pickle, a sandwich shop with locations in Grand Haven and Rockford, opened a new space at 820 Michigan St. NE in Grand Rapids on August 12.
