- ➤ ArtPrize 2025’s award ceremony took place Friday night at Studio Park—over 14 artists received prize money from public vote and juried panels during a competition that ran from Sept.18 to Oct.4. Winners include Mark Lewanski’s Arras at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum—other pieces are on display at venues like DeVos Place Convention Center and the BioPhilia Gallery. MLive

- ➤ At least 200 EPIC Health patients received scam text messages that wrongly claimed their Medicaid and Medicare coverage was cut during the federal government shutdown, causing concern and a drop in scheduled appointments. - ➤ The Bee Brave 5K took place Saturday at 8:30 a.m. along paved and gravel roads on Alaska Ave SE in Caledonia Township—offering timed runs, untimed walks, and virtual races to support breast cancer research at the Van Andel Institute.
