- ➤ The Kent County Road Commission began repairs on the 48th Street bridge over the Thornapple River on Sept.29 and the work will delay about 6,000 daily commuters in Cascade Township through Nov.1—drivers are advised to take alternate routes when full-day lane closures occur. FOX 17
- ➤ More than 50 road projects will cause 12 planned road closures across Michigan from Oct. 5 until Oct. 11 — MDOT warns drivers to expect lane and ramp closures on highways including I-96, I-496, and U.S. 131 in Grand Rapids. Drivers are urged to follow posted signs and plan alternate routes as weather-dependent work continues. MLive

- ➤ Pinkn' Patch, a nonprofit in Grand Rapids, is now onboarding breast cancer patients through its website and app and will offer free household services such as cleaning, laundry, and lawn care starting November 1. Founder Scott Packer and breast cancer survivor Sandra Swanson said the support covers both financial and emotional help—meeting the needs of local families. FOX 17
