Steelcase, Grand Rapids’ largest office furniture maker, is set to be acquired by HNI Corporation in a cash & stock deal valued at $2.2 billion, with the transaction expected to close by the end of 2025.

After the deal closes, HNI will expand its board by adding two independent members from Steelcase & keep the Steelcase brand and local headquarters in Grand Rapids.
